  1. Hey this is Bo.

I like your video, especially the part where it shows the phone evolution. Though it is interesting, some parts are too long and boring. You could had shorten it.

There is some parts I don't agree. I think the main reason we don't use phone as mp3 players is because of battery life, not because of accessibility. The battery life for our phones are too short for us to listen to music. If we listen to music, the phone battery couldn't last till the end of the day!

Besides, I disagree that fact the Itunes is 'The' program for mp3. I, for one, don't use Itunes. I have a walkman mp3 and i use sony's special programs. There are a lot of people out there who uses other brans such as Creative so Itunes is not the reason why phones are not used as mp3.

Besides, Iphone uses Itunes as the program to sync songs anyway.

And, most phones do not need to connect to the computer. They use external flash drive such as micro SD card. So it is pretty easy to transfer songs!

    That's about it!

  2. Nice compilation but I am sorry to say that the music was really irritating after a while and distracted me slightly from the visual elements. The 'lyrics' were relevant but after a while it became drowning. There were some text that were not a clear even when I viewed it in full screen.

I like the initial transition of the phone throughout time, but it would have been better if it was shorten to the significant few.

Like Bo, I believe that the limiting factor of a phone being used as a music player is the limited battery life. Owners of smart phones will attest that they have to charge their phones everyday. And that is without using the phone as a music player.

I for one have attempted using my phone as a music player once, but soon gave up due to the lower quality of music and the battery that it drains.(I was using one of those phones that could last 1 week on standby)The lower quality music is often the result of me having to use the 'stock' OEM headset provided because their jack was incompatible with the standard 3.5mm. That used to peeved me off quite a bit, and I am glad that they are moving towards a more standardized jack.

In fact, while I agree that many phones have very poor music interfaces(probably have to go through menus and submenus just to open the player), I actually liked transferring my music via my memory card rather than syncing with iTunes. It is more versatile, and I am not locked to one computer's music library.

I actually think that the iPhone's iTune works exactly like iPod. Not too sure since I don't own one.

  3. Very nice video, I also agree that using a phone as a music player is very inefficient considering the fact processor speed may be lacking resulting in lower quality music due to poor rendering. Also, if someone were to have an mp3 player, it would be stupid to even consider using it as one.
